Bathhouse Tyrian - Original Painting

65 x 65cm (canvas size) original painting by Marcia Priestley. Acrylic on canvas. Box framed in Oak and ready to hang.

Bathhouse Tyrian is an abstract portraiture denoting a bathhouse ritual for the purpose of cleansing to heal, relax and recharge the mind, body and spirit.

A soft, chalkiness texture emerges in Marcia's paintings formed by layers of texture creating a realistic view of depth and character. A technique unique to her work, Marcia Priestley' evokes an engaging narrative fluent with emotion using a powdered application with acrylic on canvas to create a serene viewing. Lyrical tones are sculptured and composed of longitudinal arrangements or pattern formation creating movement, body, texture & difference.
