Blue Eyes - Original Painting

From the Sabi Girls Collection -

'None of them are one girl exactly — they're composites, borrowed gestures, half-remembered old summers. The Sabi Girls are less a portrait series and more a scrapbook of feeling: the drag before the exhale, the taste before the swallow, the pout before the laugh, the stretch before the pop'

.Approx 92x92cm (canvas size) original painting by Marcia Priestley. Acrylic on canvas. Framed In Oak.

A soft, chalkiness texture emerges in Marcia's paintings formed by layers of texture creating a realistic view of depth and character. A technique unique to her work, Marcia Priestley' evokes an engaging narrative fluent with emotion using a powdered application with acrylic on canvas to create a serene viewing. Lyrical tones are sculptured and composed of longitudinal arrangements or pattern formation creating movement, body, texture & difference.
