Country - Original Painting

98 x 128cm (canvas size) original painting by Marcia Priestley. Acrylic on canvas. Framed in a whitewash oak. (*This artwork is signed on the bottom and rear of the painting)

A soft, chalkiness texture emerges in Marcia's paintings formed by layers of texture creating a realistic view of depth and character. A technique unique to her work, Marcia Priestley' evokes an engaging narrative fluent with emotion using a powdered application with acrylic on canvas to create a serene viewing. Lyrical tones are sculptured and composed of longitudinal arrangements or pattern formation creating movement, body, texture & difference.
